Professional Dog Training on the South Shore

I knew as soon as we met that she was going to love and advocate for my dog just as much as I do. That feeling alone was a key factor that was lacking with previous trainers I had tried. Corey is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and their behaviors. My girl Whinnie is very particular, with lots of nervous quirks, and Corey took all that into consideration when creating a plan for us. She took the time to listen and ask questions, and then created a personalized plan tailored exactly to Whinnie’s and my needs. She taught us so much, and gave me tools that I continue to use with Whinnie every single day. In addition to the amazing training, Corey went above and beyond in helping me with any questions and concerns I had. She took the time to research special harnesses for Whinnie, helped me with food and supplement questions, and even bought Whinnie some of her favorite toys. I could go on forever, but Corey truly is the best!

Working with Corey is so accessible. She worked with my Labrador Bonnie to help us get through the AKC Good Citizen test and become a certified therapy dog team. She is always strength based which makes it feel so judgement free. She was able to use Bonnie's strengths to support her on things she struggled with. I cannot recommend Corey enough, I know my dog loves her and she is so easy to work with.

She is excellent at explaining and demonstrating all types of basic obedience as well as teaching good doggie manners. From taking a simple walk to having people over the house life is so much more enjoyable with our well behaved dog. She helped my golden retriever achieve her Canine Good Citizen certificate (something that I didn’t think possible) and I am so pleased with our 'new and improved' dog. Corey’s love for dogs is obvious as is her strong work ethic and I am so happy to have found her. I would highly recommend her for all their dog training needs.

Deciding we should share her special and gentle personality with the world, we went to Corey for classes that would prepare her to earn her certificate in Canine Good Citizenship, with an eventual goal of becoming a therapy dog. It was clear from our first meeting with Corey that she is a “dog person” - the joy she takes in dogs of all varieties is evident in her ability to form an instant connection with both dog and owner. Corey’s instruction to the dog student - as well as instructions to owner for command reinforcement at home - is clear, concise and and effective. She manages to remain positive in both her praise and her corrections when Lucy doesn’t follow instructions exactly - never are raised voices or harsh words used in teaching techniques. Corey quickly formed a great relationship with Lucy, who I believe learned the commands quickly not only because of Corey’s effective instruction, but because doing so pleased her friend Corey! Corey became a friend outside of the classroom as well, and I was fortunate to share some lunch and a joint walk/“field” training sessions with Corey and her dog Wyatt. Our Lucy graduated training with Corey an even sweeter, calmer and more obedient and responsive dog and I am 100% comfortable with her behavior around children, elderly, the infirm - anyone! Corey is the best!
