Tuck and I met Corey when he was just about a year old. He is an exuberant, big, blocky golden retriever. I work with special-needs children in a hospital setting and Tuck joined our family with a goal of becoming a therapy dog. We worked with her consistently through our Therapy Dog training program. In addition, we also worked with her independently to obtain his Canine Good Citizenship certificate. Tuck is a loving, exuberant boy. Corey was able to guide us in corralling his young energy and directing it in a happy, productive way. She did this without curbing his enthusiasm while safely allowing his personality to shine. His wonderful loving golden spirit bring smiles everywhere, thanks to Corey’s kind, patient and amazing skill. Tuck adores her!

We knew we had to start from scratch and build his confidence from the ground up. That’s when we found Corey, and what a blessing she ended up being. Buddy is a big boy, people tend to shy away from him because of it, but Corey fell in love with him instantly. And vice versa. Buddy trusted Corey immediately, it was an amazing sight to see considering everything Buddy has been through. She’s not only good at training your dog, she’s good at training the people too! I never even realized how important it is to train the owners along with the dog. She’s incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, and it’s obvious that all she wants is to bring you and your dog closer together with training. She taught us everything in such a way that made it fun for both us and our dog. Seeing Buddy’s confidence grow every day as we continue to use her training is a gift that I can’t thank her for enough!

I was lucky enough to cross her path while getting my dog Murphy certified as a therapy dog. She understands the communication and dedication needed to train any type of dog and has a genuine love for all animals. She walked Murph and I through all the steps of the therapy dog process and answered all million questions I had the entire way. I knew as soon as we met that she was going to love and advocate for my dog just as much as I do. That feeling alone was a key factor that was lacking with previous trainers I had tried. Corey is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and their behaviors. My girl Whinnie is very particular, with lots of nervous quirks, and Corey took all that into consideration when creating a plan for us. She took the time to listen and ask questions, and then created a personalized plan tailored exactly to Whinnie’s and my needs. She taught us so much, and gave me tools that I continue to use with Whinnie every single day. In addition to the amazing training, Corey went above and beyond in helping me with any questions and concerns I had. She took the time to research special harnesses for Whinnie, helped me with food and supplement questions, and even bought Whinnie some of her favorite toys. I could go on forever, but Corey truly is the best!

She is excellent at explaining and demonstrating all types of basic obedience as well as teaching good doggie manners. From taking a simple walk to having people over the house life is so much more enjoyable with our well behaved dog. She helped my golden retriever achieve her Canine Good Citizen certificate (something that I didn’t think possible) and I am so pleased with our 'new and improved' dog. Corey’s love for dogs is obvious as is her strong work ethic and I am so happy to have found her. I would highly recommend her for all their dog training needs.
